Awards Received by FSG Faculty and Students

·        Nango Dembele was awarded the title of Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mali. Malian President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita granted the award in recognition of his longstanding contributions to food security and improved agricultural policies in Mali.  A former faculty member and alumnus (PhD 1994) of AFRE, Dr. Dembele is currently Minister and Food Security Commissioner of Mali.

·        Ryan Vroegindewey. Second place win in Global Focus photo contest. The winning photo will be displayed in a gallery in MSU’s International Center lobby, as well as featured in the annual MSU International magazine and other university publications to promote international awareness and understanding.
